Climate Dynamics Teleconnection Extreme events Arctic Rossby waves

Research Interests

1. Heatwave Mechanism by Large-scale Teleconnection

Impact of large-scale teleconnection patterns originating in the Arctic/high latitudes on mid-latitude heat waves.

2. Moisture transport to the Arctic

Research on poleward water vapor transport and its effects on Arctic warming.

3. Air Pollution Mechanism in South Korea

Large-scale atmospheric teleconnection mechanisms affecting the severe air pollution events in Korea.
